I have recently visited Amsterdam for a couple of days. I went with one of my best friends and we managed to fit so much in 2 days. If you are interested to see everywhere we went and everything we did, please visit my Instagram stories.
What I wanted to share with you, is 3 cocktail bars you should visit because it’s probably not something you add to your Amsterdam itinerary (but you should!). Especially if you are a cocktail lover like me.
1. Flying Dutchmen Cocktails
A proper cocktail bar where you can expect to find well made classic cocktails, an experienced team, a warm welcome, and great service. The vibe is of a cocktail lounge, very dark and candlelit cozy surroundings. Perfect to start your night out.
Address: Singel 460, 1017 AW Amsterdam, Netherlands
2. Bar Feijoa
A second spot is not far away. It is quite livelier, you can expect a fun atmosphere and great drinks, the team who’s good mood will infect you and the crowd where you can make new friends.
Address: Vijzelstraat 39, 1017 HE Amsterdam, Netherlands
3. Door 74
This one is for speakeasy lovers, a place which is hard to find and once you are inside you are transported to a Prohibition era. I have 2 tips for you. First, make sure to make a reservation because you might not get in otherwise! And the second one, the entrance is in no way marked and you can only recognize it by ordinary-looking, double-sided, white-frosted glass doors, knock on them…
Address: Reguliersdwarsstraat 74, 1017 BN Amsterdam, Netherlands
Let me know if you have visited any of them or maybe you are planning to?
ps. I pulled the pictures from Instagram, no copyright infringement meant!
Travel can be exhausting and packing a few essentials to make it more enjoyable and provide a little bit of comfort can make it so much more enjoyable. Everyone that travels a lot have a sort of check list while they prepare for a trip. Mine is below and I do hope you find it usefull:
2. A collapsable water bottle
Hydration, hydration, hydration!
4. A Travel Organiser
Keep all the important documents safe and in one compact place
7. Some Entertainment
I always have a good book to help me pass the time. Amazon kindle is a great solution where you can keep a bunch of the book and read the one that takes your fancy.
9. A pair of soft, thick socks
A cosy pair of socks really, really makes plane travel soo much more comfortable
10. A toothbrush and toothpaste / mint or gum
Nothing than a bad breath, right?
11. Vitamin C
Keep your immune system strong, especially on holidays!
Cabins might get very cold and a soft cosy scarf will keep you warm and happy you brought it on board
Do you have any other essentials you take with you while you travel?
